Resumen:
The rapid development of £gTAS technology increasingly demands simulation tools to numerically prototype microfluidic devices. In fact, computational [1] and analytical [2] simulations allows one to test successive prototypes, as well as to perform a series of pseudo-experimental runs, thus reducing costs and time in the path from concept to chip. In this framework, here we present an application for a numerical model for the simulation of multidimensional electrophoretic separations in microfluidic devices previously developed. Numerical calculations were performed by using the finite element method (FEM) in order to numerical prototype a two dimensional electrophoresis (2DE) device.
