Resumen:
The synthesis and the inhibitory activity against 13-1actamase I from Bacillus cereus is described for a new series of 6tx-bromo, chloro or fluoro-213-chloromethyl-2tx-methylpenam-3ct-carboxylic acids (5a-c) and their corresponding sulfones 6a-c and 6ct-bromo, chloro or fluoro-21~l-mercaptobenzothiazolylmethyl-2ctinethylpenam-3tx-carboxylic acids (8a-e). Among the novel compounds, the highest activity was expresscd by 6ct-chloro-213-chloromethyl-2ct-methylpenam-3ct-carboxylic acid l,l-dioxide (6b)
