Differential expression of 17 -b- estradiol and progesterone receptors in pig oviduct during the estral cycle

The 17-b-estradiol and progesterone receptors from pig oviduct have been studied by inmunocitochemical technique and ligand binding assay. The studies were carried out with oviduct obtained in : A) estrogenic phase and B) luteal phase. Inmunocitochemical study showed that 17 -b-estradiol receptors are present in epithelial and stroma cells from oviduct in both, estrogenic and luteal phase. Meanwhile progesterone receptor was found only in ephitelial cells from oviduct in luteal phase. The binding assay was performed by incubation of H-317-b-estradiol bound specifically to the citosolic fraction of ephitelial and stroma cells in both phases. On the other hand H3 R5020 bound to the membrane fraction of epithelial cells in luteal phase.
