In this work, a systematic study of the structural and magnetic properties of B-rich rare earth?Fe?B nanocomposite samples produced by annealing amorphous ribbons was carried out. The crystalline Fe2B phases t-(Fe, RE)3B and a- (Fe, RE) precipitated at temperatures above 550 1C. The coercive .eld was found to diminish dramatically, from 1.33 to 0.05 kOe, with the addition of small quantities of Misch-Metal. 2B phases t-(Fe, RE)3B and a- (Fe, RE) precipitated at temperatures above 550 1C.
