Resumen:
This course arises f rom the need to perform integrative activities that reinforce know ledge of human physiology. Exercise physiology allow s undergraduate students of Pharmacy and Biochemistry to integrate content independently covered in each unit of the program. The key concepts of this topic emphasize the mechanisms that determine responses and adaptations of dif ferent body systems under physiological conditions. The course, mounted on Moodle platform, includes 4 thematic modules that are performed in parallel w ith regular classes during the second part of the semester. Activities and resources include forums, questionnaires, online literature, continuous and summative assessments, among others. To assess the experience, opinion polls w ere performed. Dif ferent degrees of acceptance w ere observed. Among the challenges faced, w e considered: The resistance of students and teachers to use new technologies, their need of training in this area, and the increasing load of w ork. The risk of falling into depersonalization of the educational process. Ensuring that technology does not lose sight of the underlying pedagogical objective. I t is almost impossible for current higher education to plan teaching strategies w ithout considering new technologies. Given that the ability to adapt to the new and unexpected is an essential part of modern competences, the application of technological tools may serve to develop new skills, leaving opportunity for creativity.
