Resumen:
This contribution approaches the images of metalworkers, as portrayed in Old Testament stories, from a social anthropological outlook. This images of craft specialists should be understand from a cultural and symbolic perspective of ancient Palestine´s past, rather than from a historicist view on the history of "ancient Israel".
