In accordance with the guidelines proposed for the colloquium, I will first refer to my research on Argentine printmaking articulating three key terms in my approach: selective tradition (as defined by Raymond Williams), originality (following Rosalind Krauss) and image-manifesto (as proposed by Andrea Giunta). Secondly, I will analyze what?s been called the ?new art history? and its practice in Argentina, considering the specific role of some institutions in shaping and supporting this production in the last decades.
