A continuous electrical corona discharge was used asionization system with a Bradbury-Nielsen gate incorporated tocontrol the entry of ions. Signals of voltage vs. time were obtainedby the arrival of ions on two detectors and give a characteristicpattern depending on the ionic mobility of the formed species. Usingthe software ?Chemoface? for multivariate analysis, the FastFourier Transform (FFT) of signals were processed. PrincipalComponent Analysis (PCA) applying different pre-processing methodswas done. PCA variables were established as the intensities of theFFT peaks. According with the results, samples were discriminated ina similar way, depending on the pre-processing method applied.
