Resumen:
A system based on ion mobility spectrometer (IMS) aspiration cell type with a pulsed corona discharge ionization source was developed.Samples of ethane from natural gas and pure methane at different concentrations were analyzed, to yield the ability to discriminate both compounds. An algorithm of principal component analysis (PCA) was applied. Quantitative results were validated by analysis of gas chromatography.
