Resumen:
This study examines the categorization and discrimination of ancient human bones usingLaser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) in conjunction with chemometrictechniques. Three groups of archaeological samples were accurately categorized usingLIBS measurements after a measuring strategy was devised. Regardless of the kind ofbone or tooth sample examined, individuals were classified using neural networks, SVM,and discriminant analysis with a spectral correlation greater than 97%. To preventoverfitting, minimize model size, enhance interpretability, and lower noise error, severalfeature selection techniques were used to improve model performance and identify themost pertinent characteristics. The knowledge of ancient bones combined with LIBStechnology has the potential to significantly advance the field of LIBS and advance ourunderstanding of the past.
