 El presente artículo reconstruye la historia, hasta hoy desconocida, del proyecto de creación de la Confederación General de Profesionales (CGP) durante la segunda presidencia de Perón. Se establecen los antecedentes, las posibles fuentes de inspiración para el proyecto, el contexto específico de su formulación y puesta en práctica, los conflictos que el mismo suscitó con la CGT, y su recepción por parte de sectores no peronistas. Asímismo, se presentan los datos biográficos básicos de los protagonistas, un listado tentativo de las organizaciones gremiales que se asociaron al proyecto, y una descripción del tipo de actividades que la CGP llegó a desarrollar en su corta existencia.  This article seeks to unveil the previously unknown history of the project to establish a Confederación General de Profesionales (CGP) under Peron’s second administration. The precedents and possible sources of inspiration, the specific context of formulation, and the reception of the CGP project amongst non-Peronists are analyzed here, together with the conflicts it created with the CGT. The biographies of the main CGP organizers is reconstructed, as well as a preliminary list of organizations that affiliated themselves to the CGP, and a description of the main activities that the CGP organized in the short period of its existence.
