Resumen:
This research on values and lifestyles promoted at transnational corporations and international organization is part of a broader interest in the values that direct social practices in our globalizing society. In order to study those values, we focus on what we call "paradigmatic institutions" of social order currently in the world. In this sense, transnational corporations and international organizations seem to serve as a fertile soil for the dissemination of a certain "mentality" and redefine social practices towards the construction of a global society. We argue that individuals internalize values promoted in those institutions as a particular ethos that guide social action in specific manners. We intend to explore the ways in which people conduct their life  (Max Weber´s notion of Lebensführung) and the ongoing processes of subjectivation (Michel Foucault´s concept) in our present.
