Resumen:
The hybridbacteriocin Ent35-MccV is a construction made by the fusion of genesencoding Enterocin CRL35 (munA) and Microcin V (cvaC). EnterocinCRL35 is active against the foodborne pathogen Listeriamonocytogenes. On the other hand, Microcin V is active specificallyagainst Gram-negative bacteria. These bacteriocins were fused inorder to obtain a peptide with broad antimicrobial spectrum. The aimof this work was to express Ent35-MccV in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, aGRAS microorganism, and evaluate its activity against Gram-positiveand negative pathogen bacteria. To achieve this, munA-cvaC with aleader peptide were cloned into the yeast-E. coli shuttle plasmidpCEV-G1. S. cerevisiae 23344C was transformed by the lithium acetatemethod. The expression of the hybrid Ent35-MccV was induced with theaddition of galactose. The hybrid bacteriocin Ent35-MccV was obtainedfrom the yeast producing supernatants. The antibiotic activity wasassayed against different pathogen bacteria. p { margin-bottom: 0.25cm; line-height: 115%; }
