Resumen:
This chapter examines the strategies suffragists used to win the suffrage. They madealliances with male leaders who supported them either in an individual or party capacity andwho, when elected, put forward legislation and attempted to persuade opponents in thelegislature. They created all-female organizations that launched visibility campaigns, includingmock elections -a distinctively Argentine performance-, individual actions in court, press releases and conferences, and radio broadcasts. Parliament played a central role due to thecrucial need for legislation to achieve the goal.
