Resumen:
This course aims to question some territorial myths that played (and still play) a crucial role in the official territorial stories, and their influence in naturalizing historical process as ?evident? heritages. Roland Barthes used the term myth to refer to the cultural values and beliefs that are expressed at a level of connotation. In other words, myth is the hidden set of rules or conventions thought which meanings, which are in reality specific to certain groups, are made to seem universal and given for a whole society. How do territorial myth work in territorial stories for those new-formed national states in Latin America?
