Resumen:
Argentina is a vast nation located in the south of the American continent, had 36,260,130 population ?52% female- in 2001, one third living in the capital city. It is a developed country ranked 34 among the 173 nations of the world, according to the Human Development Index. As regards individualistic or collectivistic values, belongs to the Latin and Catholic cultural tradition that has a high regard for the collectivistic values especially family ones. Family is seen as much more important than the country, the religion or the political ideas. Higher closeness to parents -especially mothers-, siblings and even members of the extended family over friends compared to North Americans and Northern Europeans has been found once and again in Argentinian adolescents.
