Paula Marchelli presented an update of the research lines of their group, with the objective to understand the responses of Nothofagus species to current drivers of global change. Gene flow, local adaptation and phenotypic plasticity were evaluated in several native Nothofagus species that are distributed along natural environmental gradients. In addition, they showed practical applications of their results in restoration and conservation of native forests.
