Geminiviruses are the most abundant plant viruses. This group of ssDNA virusesinfects a wide range of hosts including weeds, ornamentals, as well as economicallyimportant crops and is widely distributed on the planet Earth. Geminivirusescause some of the most damaging and economically important diseases of cropplants. This chapter summarizes biological and molecular aspects of therelationships between geminiviruses and their vectors.
