Resumen:
Yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis A.St.-Hil.) is a native species of the subtropical andtemperate regions of South America. In the Misiones province, in NortheasternArgentina, yerba mate is an important agricultural crop grown on approximately150,000 ha.
