Resumen:
Bovine viral diarrhea virus(BVDV) (family Flaviviridae, genus Pestivirus)is the etiological agent of a high-prevalentinfectious disease in worldwide cattle herds.Macrophage (Mö) plays a key role in innateimmunity and in BVDV immune pathogenesis.Mö are usually described as classicallyactivated, with pro-inflammatory features(M1) or alternatively activated (M2) with antiinflammatoryand tissue repairs functions. Herewe assessed BVDV tropism in periphericalblood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and the roleof polarized Mö in BVDV immunopathogenesis.
