Resumen:
In this contribution we present new mineralogical data of thosemetasomatic zones developed in the contact between tonalite dykes and ultramafic rocks,located in the eastern slope of the Sierra Chica, Córdoba. From ultramafic rock to tonalitethree main mineralogical zones are mainly identified. These zones are characterized byanthophyllite, chlorite (clinochlore) and Mg-hornblende. Metasomatism evolved from a firststage with high Si and Mg activity (anthophyllite formation), to a Ca, Mg and Al rich secondstage (Mg-hornblende formation). Subsequently, in a third stage Mg-hornblende andanthophyllite were altered to chlorite. Finally, vermiculite was formed during a fourth stageafter chlorite crystallization.
