The implementation of the prototype of an Electric Vehicle (VE) is reported. It has been developed by the Applied Electronics Group (GEA) at the ational University of Río Cuarto (UNRC), Argentina, in collaboration with the companies Zanello and Trolecor. This experience has been executed  ithin the Project PID98-046, which is jointly funded by FONCyT, ANPCyT, the above mentioned companies, UNRC and the National Science and Technology Council (CONICET). The final purpose of the project is the “development of an electric hybrid city bus”. The implementation of this  rototype rises from the need of testing the subsystems already developed by GEA in real working conditions.
