Rural and urban activities in NE Mendoza and S Córdoba areas, rely exclusively on the use of groundwater which in many cases it is the only source of drinking water. In our work we analyzed trace elements (As, F, V, U, Mo, Cr, Sb, Se), and the interaction between F and As in the formation of As-F-complexes in groundwater samples. The study indicate a significant relationship between As and other trace elements in groundwater corroborating the natural origin of all studied trace elements (volcanic ash in levels and dispersed in the aquifer sediments) especially in ?bucket wells?. The As-F complexes are not present in any of the areas in study, where both elements are originated from aquifer materials.
