Resumen:
This paper presents the new updated figures of the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) published for the first time by the twentieth Anniversary edition of the Human Development Report. The figures have been updated using the same methodology as before in the light of new available household surveys by April 2011. This new data allows incorporating a number of new countries for which data was not available in 2010. It also allows computing more recent estimates for some countries; this enables having a more updated poverty figure as well as evaluating changes over time. The paper also presents analysis on geographical and ethnical decompositions of the MPI of for a large number of countries.
