Resumen:
The aim of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of SMEs with different legal forms, and assess whether the legal form affects access to financing. We examine a sample of 910 firms in Argentina and 606 firms in Spain. The results of the study show that there are significant differences between firms with different legal forms, and that limited liability firms are more likely to obtain a bank loan.
