I use suppositional inquisitive semantics in order to model presupposition failure in natural languages. I develop a first order suppositional inquisitive semantics, and I apply it to a first order extensional language apt for capturing the referential presuppositions of singular terms, the existential presuppositions of focus and cleft sentences, and particular lexical presuppositions associated to verbs like 'stop'.
