New genetic technologies and responsibility

Even if the new genetic technologies (such as CrisprCass9 or base editing) do not bring in original problems to bioethics, they present unsolved challenges. Some of the characteristics of these techniques make them particularly difficult to handle. This is a relatively easy and accessible technology thus it is developing in a very accelerated way and it is widely spread geographically . In this presentation I will consider the ways in which this technology impacts responsibility as it may, at least, imply maternal/paternal or reproductive responsibility, scientific responsibility, social responsibility (responsibility for future generations).
