Throughout the α-spectrometry [1] U diffusion in pure Zr and Zry4 was studied simultaneously in thetemperature range 813-1093 K in order to compare the diffusion process between both matrices. Below873K U solubility in Zry4 is much lower than in pure Zr, so to obtain diffusion profiles was no possible;between 873 and 1073 K both D values are similar whereas above 1073 K the values obtained in Zry4 aresignificantly higher, probably do to the presence of β phase induced by the alloying elements.
