On internal colonialism and subjectivity. Notes for a debate.

A genealogical approach to internal colonialism brings up various situations and interpretations that involve a national level. Our aim here is to problematize the field of theories on colonialism in and from Latin America, where critical discourses have developed under the influence of Marxism and more recently the decolonial turn. We think that both perspectives elide two processes that are intrinsic to the comprehension of the particularities of the power dynamics of latin american political and historical experiences.
