Resumen:
The design stage is crucial in architectural projects, were predictions of thermal and energy behaviour can make significant differences in the lifespan of buildings. In this paper, the thermal and energy analysis of a winery project in the UcoValley, Province of Mendoza (Argentina) in the current situation (2020) and in2 tentative future scenarios (2050-2080) are presented. According to the initial project, with internal temperatures set at the optimal range for wine production, a consumption of 36 kWh/m2 (136.512 kWh year) was estimated. This value was predicted to triplicate by the year 2080. To diminish energy consumption there were suggested improvements, with solar architecture criteria, integrated in the envelope of the building. In the new prediction, energy consumption reduced by half to 17 kWh/m2 (64.464 kWh year). And this value is expected to continue constantly until 2080. The building with improvements is resilient and adapts to climate change by maintaining the same energy consumption throughout its useful life.
