In this work we introduce the full characterizationof an Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) sensor. Thechip, fabricated in a standard 0.5μm channel length CMOSprocess, implements a light sensor having a programmable nonuniformdetectivity. The response of the chip was studied forthree different wavelengths. Also, a color dependent crosstalkanalysis was carried out. This design is intended for a nondiffractivebeam optical encoder, but the ideas presented in thiswork could be used in other custom light sensors. The crosstalkanalysis improves the comprehension of this phenomenon inCMOS sensors.
