Resumen:
Multilevel inverters have been succesfullyintroduced in a wide variety of problems related to electricalpower processing. Nowadays, the main concerns are theflexible management of energy delivered by renewable sourcesand also the improvement of power quality in distributionnetworks. FACTS devices provide solutions againstdisturbances on voltage waveform parameters, namelyamplitude, distortion, frequency, etc. that impact negatively onproduction lines and critical loads. In this work, a dynamicvoltage restorer which is based on a multilevel current sourcetopology is presented. The internal converter control isdescribed and two strategies for voltage compensation areanalyzed. Simulation results are presented to verify thecharacteristics of both compensation methods.
