Resumen:
In this paper, we seek to analyze the ecologicaland social? changes product of the recent invasion of chinook salmon from ranchingexperiments in southern  Chile to de LasVueltas River has created in the town of El Chaltén. Located within the LosGlaciares National Park in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina, El Chaltén isa small village recently founded for geopolitical interests in an astonishingviews and wilderness area and its population is composed by and interestingblend of farmers, a large rock-climbers community, and tourism industryworkers.  We will trace the ecologicalimpact chinook have on the local populations of brown- and rainbow trout ofhigh fly fishing value and outline how this recent invasion has impacted localuses and perceptions of the aquatic resources of this particular communitystakeholders, and the conservation perspective and restrictions imposed by the NationalPark
