Resumen:
Rice (Oriza sativa L.) is a very important basic food in several developing countries. This cereal, mainly the brown rice, is rich in vitamins, fibers and minerals, making it a nutritionally valuable food. The rice quality is strongly associated with the authentication of geographical origin. For this reason, traders and consumers are especially interested to known the origin of this type of product. In this context, this work focuses on applying the Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) for authentication of brown rice by their geogrpahical origins using supervised classification algorithms.
