Microbial fuel cell (MFC) is a field of science and technology that combinesbiological catalytic redox activity with abiotic electrochemical reactions andcapacitive charging accumulation. The biofilm plays an important role in anMFC since the processes mentioned occur on it. In this chapter, the principalprocesses linked to the biofilm in an MFC are revised and applied by usingmathematical interpretation.
