Resumen:
This work presents the characterization of bed morphology and sediment transport (bedload) over dunes using ADCP at the Ctalamochita River (Córdoba, Argentina) with dunes lengths ranging between 2 and 5m and dunes high between 0.1 and 0.5m. A SonTek ADCP S5 RiverSurveyor, with 3000kHz acoustic frequency has been used. The bedload was determined by either: a) long-term stationary measurements and by b) the traditional dune tracking method. The stationary measurement has been performed tracking a complete dune displacement during more than two hours while the traditional dune tracking has been performed by conducting different longitudinal tracks at every zone over dune trains that were previously identified in exploratory observations.
