Resumen:
Knowledge can be seen as the collection of skillsand information an individual (or group) has acquiredthrough experience, while intelligence as theability to apply such knowledge. In many areas ofArtificial Intelligence, we have been focusing forthe last 40 years on the formalization and developmentof automated ways of finding and collectingdata, as well as on the construction of models torepresent that data adequately in a way that an automatedsystem can make sense of it. However, in orderto achieve real artificial intelligence we need togo beyond data and knowledge representation, anddeeper into how such a system could, and would, use available knowledge in order to empower andenhance the capabilities of humans in making decisionsin real-world applications. From my pointof view, an AI should be able to combine automaticallyacquired data and knowledge together withspecific domain expertise from the users that thetool is expected to help.
