Resumen:
GWA Studies aim to capture crop diversity and provide an excellent opportunity to discover and explore the genetic architecture of traits. The objective of this work was to detect in a multienvironmental study genomic regions associated with photosynthetic capacity and growth in sorghum. Three experiments were performed in INTA Manfredi Exp Station, two in the field and one in a greenhouse, using 150 genotypes of the Sorghum Association Panel. The following variables were evaluated: plant height (ALT), chlorophyll leaf content (SPAD), efficiency of energy captured by open PSII reaction centers (Fv ́/Fm ́), stomatal density (SD) and specific leaf area (SLA). Data were analyzed with a mixed model, and LS means obtained were used in a GWAS for each variable per year with the software TASSEL. The genotypes presented sufficient phenotypic variability for the traits analyzed. Significant correlations were found in the three years evaluated. Significant genomic regions were detected for ALT in all three years and on all chromosomes, for SLA in year 2 on all chromosomes and for SD in year 3 on chromosome 2. The results indicate consistent associations for the ALT variable for the three years evaluated.
