Resumen:
In this paper we deal with a topic of smart grids that considers residential appliance scheduling. As nowadays being interruptible is a quality of many appliances, we analysed the possibility of interrupting the operation of the appliances to represent real-life scenarios in a more faithful way. This could lead to better decisions avoiding the operation of appliances during intervals in which the energy prices were high. We detail the methodology we used and how we generated a diverse instance set with the goal of presenting a realistic analysis. Considering various metrics, we compare the computational results obtained for our model with those belonging to the scenario without interruptions, and explain the positive impact of our incorporation
