Resumen:
Polypyrrole (PPy) coatings were electrosynthesised onto Nitinol from sodium salicylate (NaSa) solutions of different concentrations. The morphology and corrosion protection properties of the resulting coatings depend on the NaSa concentration. The immobilisation of silver species in PPy films constituted by hollow rectangular microtubes of PPy was studied as a function of the polymer oxidation degree. The best results were obtained when the coated electrode was polarised at ? 1.00 V(SCE) before silver deposition. Finally, the antibacterial activity of the coating against the Grampositive Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria was evaluated.
