Reunión:
Conferencia; Second International conference on thermoplastic polymers; 2015
Resumen:
The conference given dealt with the production of bacterial nanocellulose (type of strain, types of fermentors used, key variables), characterization of its properties (chemical structure, morphology, thermal properties, crystallinity, storage modulus, etc), and its sustainable hydrophobization by a novel ecofriendly route involving alfa-hydroxyacids as catalysts. Characterization results of acetylated bacterial cellulose by RMN, FTIR, XRD, contact angle and dispersibility were discussed.
