Resumen:
The field of polymeric materials is one that has been affected by the global oil crisis since becoming scarce hydrocarbons derived from this industry, and with them the raw materials of traditional polymers. Producing polymers from renewable sources is an alternative which could contribute to solving in part this problem. However, in general these polymers are mechanically weak, which it may limit its application. The development of nanomaterials and polymeric nanocomposites based on renewable raw materials has attracted the attention in order to make them competitive with traditional polymers, by improving mechanical as well as other properties. Therefore, it is interesting combining these fields through the development and study of ecofriendly nanomaterials and polymeric nanocomposites, with improved properties.
