Resumen:
The combination of magnetic nanoparticles and polymeric matrices may improve the performance of both components, resulting in new properties due to synergistic effects. These types of nano- composites are traditionally prepared by simply mixing a minor weight fraction of surface-modified nanoparticles with the polymer matrix [1]. However, if the magnetic nanoparticle content is increased, nanoparticle aggregation occurs which is especially important for magnetic nanoparticles due to interparticle dipolar forces [2]. In this context, we propose a simple inexpensive coprecipitation method for the low agglomerated growth of a high content of cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) nanoparticles onto bacterial nanocellulose (BNC).
