Resumen:
This plenary lecture presents a unified RVE-based multiscale theory for modelling heterogeneous materials.In particular, two original applications can be derived from this general framework which are described in detail:(i) multiscale dynamics considering the homogenization of inertia and body forces effects and(ii) the modelling of material failure process due to crack nucleation and propagation.
