Resumen:
IntroductionPhylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA gene (rrn)sequences by next generation sequencing is now being widelyused to understand the highly complex microbialcommunities in ruminants. This molecular approach has beenthe key to some of the biggest advances in our understandingof ruminant nutrition in recent years. The aim of this studywas to use 16S Illumina amplicon sequencing to evaluatedifferences in rumen microbiome of lactating dairy sheepsupplemented with non-fibrous carbohydrates (corn grain)and fibrous carbohydrates (soybean hulls).
