Resumen:
Lignocellulosic biomass has been used as raw material to obtain biofuels, especially bioethanol. The process for obtaining second generation bioethanol includes: pretreatment, enzymatic saccharification, and fermentation. The objective of this work was to compare bioethanol yields from hydrolysates of pine sawdust subjected to a soda- ethanol pretreatment, employing two different fermentation strategies: separated hydrolysis and fermentation (SHF) and simultaneous hydrolysis and fermentation (SSF).
