Resumen:
The aim of this work was to study the corrosion behavior of stainless steels in biodiesel of v egetal origin, at room temperature, evaluating its properties according to the differences in the structures austenitic, ferritic and austenitic - ferritic) and compositions of the materials. The biodiesel employed was obtained by industrially manufactured based on soybean oil as main raw material. The stainless steels used as samples for the tests were: AISI 304L, Sea Cure and Duplex 2205. For obtaining the desired data potentiodynamic polarization and weight loss trials were carried out. These studies were complemented by observations using an optical microscope. The weight loss study allowed the identification of low corrosion rates to the three stainless steels studied.
