Resumen:
The goal of this paper is to present the advances in the development of an expert system to process mechanical data acquired during repair of cavitation effects in hydropower turbines. By using simulated data, it was possible to correlate a specific maintenance task with mechanical strain signals. As a result, the software produced was capable of generating a graphic report where the processed data was shown with the corresponding maintenance tasks. In sum, this work displays the usefulness of experts systems to make the supervision of maintenance works in hydropower plants more efficiently.
