Resumen:
Environmental education is fundamental for environmental management. The general objective is to promote the restoration of watersheds for sustainable development. Antecedents were analyzed and interviews and extension activities were carried out. The territorial survey was carried out with the Geographical Information System, and ground inspections were carried out. It was possible to promote a conservationist mentality for the restoration of watersheds. Environmental education is a good ally for the construction of better ways of relationship between society and its environment. It is recommended to support extension activities to promote ecological awareness.
