Resumen:
Euterpe edulis Martius (Palmito - Heart Palm) is a species of the Atlantic Forest of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. For years it was intensely exploited for food purposes. For the survival of this species in the long term, the preservation of the genetic diversity of the remaining populations is the key. In this context, the objective of this project is to evaluate diversity and genetic structure of E. edulis populations by taking into account the influence of landscape fragmentation and the current and historical management of the wild populations of the Atlantic Forest of Misiones, Argentina.
